Description:

Bottlenose dolphins are well known as the intelligent and charismatic stars of many aquarium shows. Their curved mouths give the appearance of a friendly, permanent smile, and they can be trained to perform complex tricks. They are usually seen in smaller pods or groups of less than 10 individuals. Intelligent and high up on the oceanic food chain, dolphins are found to engage in playful activities including bow riding where they surf in front of a boat or even a whale’s bow wave. With C Hawk we frequently see dolphins on our excursions and love to educate our guests on their important role in Hawaii. While we have been able to swim around or interact with dolphins closely, recent changes in law require us to  observe dolphins from a distance.

Size: 10 to 14 feet
Bottlenose dolphins can weigh up to 1,100 pounds
Can stay underwater for up to 30 minutes
“Naiʻa” is the Hawaiian name for dolphins

Whale Watching Season

From the months of November through April, our warm tropical waters are home to the North Pacific stock of Humpback whales.

Whales are plentiful and surround the island
taking advantage of it’s warm waters.

Get to know Our Boat

The Aukai I. was designed and built in 2012 by R&B boats in Eugene, OR. The concept of our boat is to provide our cut bait("chunking" or "mooching") fisherman with plenty of desk space. The large deck is complimented with large fish/ice hold, 12 rod holders, bait cutting table, shade area, and all the tackle. The captain's helm is complimented with GPS, radar and fish finder.
