Yellowfin Tuna is often marketed as ahi, from the Hawaiianʻahi, a name also used there for the closely related bigeye tuna. Although mainly found in deep offshore waters, yellowfin tuna may approach shore when suitable conditions exist. Yellowfin tuna often travel in schools with similarly sized companions. Yellowfin tuna are a highly prized catch pursued by sport fishermen in many parts of the world.

The Aukai I. was designed and built in 2012 by R&B boats in Eugene, OR. The concept of our boat is to provide our cut bait("chunking" or "mooching") fisherman with plenty of desk space.
